Purchase Information

At naokuroshop, we buy various MTG (Magic: The Gathering) cards. If you would like to buy a card, please apply by following the steps below.

1. Advance quotation request

You can request a quote in advance for the card you wish to purchase.
Please make your request in the following way:

  • LINE Official Account
    • You can send card information and photos using LINE.
    • By using LINE, you can carry out communication smoothly.
  • Email
    • Please send us your card information and photo by email.

When requesting a quote, please provide the following information to facilitate the process:

  • Card Name
  • Set name (e.g. MH2)
  • Card No.
  • Foil presence/absence
  • Language (e.g. Japanese, English, etc.)
  • Variation (e.g. normal, showcase, etc.)
  • Number of sheets

2. Advance quote

  • naokuroshop will provide you with an estimated price based on the condition of the card and market price.
  • The estimate will be determined based on the condition of the card, market price, sales/stock status at the shop, etc.
  • If you find a higher purchase price from another store, please feel free to let us know.
  • Once received, the process will usually be completed within one day.
  • Once the estimate is complete, we will notify you of the results via email or LINE.
  • If you have any questions or need further confirmation regarding the estimate, we are happy to assist you.
  • Quoted prices are usually valid for three days, including the date of quote, unless there are major market fluctuations.

  • After receiving your application form, naokuroshop will send you an email confirming receipt.
  • If necessary, we may contact you with additional questions or to clarify further details.

5. Identity Verification Procedure

  • If the purchase amount is over 10,000 yen and this is your first transaction, you will need to verify your identity .
  • Identity verification will be done through the post office using mail that can only be received by the recipient .
  • To prove your identity, you will need a valid photo ID such as a driver's license, passport, or other official document with your photograph.
  • In order to ensure a smooth process, if we determine that identity verification is required at the time of purchase, we will proceed with the identity verification procedure at the same time as sending you the cards you wish to purchase.
  • The costs for mailing the documents are as follows:
    • If the purchase is completed, naokuroshop will cover the cost .
    • If the purchase is not completed, you will be required to cover the costs .

6. Send us the card you wish to sell

  • Please send the cards you wish to sell to naokuroshop with postage prepaid .
  • Since it is difficult to compensate for damage or loss during transportation, please use adequate packaging and a traceable shipping method.

  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs, but if the purchase price is over 10,000 yen, naokuroshop will cover the shipping costs up to a maximum of 1,000 yen .

7. Purchase appraisal

  • Once the card arrives at naokuroshop, a staff member will carefully assess the condition of the card.
  • The assessment usually takes about one day (it can be completed sooner if the estimate is still valid).
  • The purchase price will be determined by taking into consideration the condition of the card (scratches, stains, creases, etc.), market price, and our shop's sales/inventory status.
  • If you find a higher purchase price from another store, please feel free to let us know.
  • Once the assessment is complete, we will inform you of the results by email.

8. Check the assessment results

  • After receiving the email with the appraisal results, please respond as to whether or not you agree with the appraisal results.
  • If you do not agree with the appraisal results, we will return the card to you, cash on delivery.
  • If you agree with the assessment results, we will proceed with the remittance process.
  • If the purchase amount is 10,000 yen or more and it is your first time, we will prepare the transfer after you complete the identity verification procedure.

9. Complete identity verification

  • Please contact naokuroshop to let us know the contents of the package you received for personal delivery only.
  • Once the details have been verified, you will receive an email confirming your identity.

10. Transfers

  • The purchase will be completed once you agree to the appraisal results and identity verification is completed.
  • After the purchase is completed, naokuroshop will transfer the purchase amount to the bank account specified by the customer.
  • Transfers are usually completed within 1-2 business days, but may be delayed depending on bank processing.
  • All transfer fees will be covered by naokuroshop.
  • Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation email, so please check to see that the funds have been deposited into your account.
  • After payment is made, ownership of the purchase card will be transferred to naokuroshop.

    Notes

    • We do not accept purchase applications from minors.
    • Once we have notified you of the results of the appraisal, please reply within one week. If we do not receive a reply, we will return the item to you, cash on delivery.
    • Please note that we cannot accept cancellations or questions after the purchase has been completed.
    • Quoted prices are usually valid for three days including the date of quote, but if there are significant fluctuations in market prices, we may re-quote you.
    • A re-quote may be favorable or unfavorable to the customer. We will inform you of the results of the re-quote by email and proceed to the next step only after obtaining your consent.
    • If your purchased item does not arrive, please contact the delivery company.
    • After receiving the purchased item, if there is any discrepancy or obvious damage, naokuroshop will contact you with a photo. Please contact the delivery company yourself.
    • If any trouble occurs, including those mentioned above, we will consult with you at any time and respond appropriately according to the situation.
